Who is Doggone Cute Cuts?
Doggone Cute Cuts is a business based on the love for dogs and family. I am a mother of four, two children and two of the furry kind! My son and daughter are very active in sports and activities so we're always on the go! We have a 12 yr old Golden Retriever "Buster" (that still thinks he's a puppy) and just recently added to our family a Chihuahua "Bella" that has made herself right at home. Mike (my husband of 12+ yrs) and I have many hobbies we enjoy doing together. We have a camp in Huntington County, Pa where we spend time enjoying the outdoors. Having Doggone Cute Cuts in our home allows us more time to spend together as a family and to be around more of the pets we love.
How did Doggone Cute Cuts come about?
There isn't a time I can remember that I didn't have a strong love for dogs and a desire to be around them. As a child I had many pets. My first dogs were a Norwegian Elkhound/German Shepherd mix named "Smokey" and a Keeshond named "Samantha". I remember once, while my father was a police officer, he found a stray puppy and brought it home to me. I named her "Midnight", but I should have named her Runaway because we only had her a few days until thats what she did! I also had a lab mix named "Sheba". I had to have all the little critters children want too! A rabbit "Speedy Gonzalez" who loved to chew on wires when left loose! I also had parakeets that enjoyed to sing to me, but never could get them to talk! All these beloved pets made a difference in my life and truly made me happy. Now it is I, who gets to enjoy watching the love between my children and their pets.
After working a deadend job for a number of years an opportunity presented itself to fulfill a dream... I enrolled in JKL Training Academy where I earned my diploma as a professional pet groomer and opened a pet grooming shop in my basement! I am so excited to be able to spend my days with my favorite kind of "people"... the furry kind! And how great is it that this also allows me to be available for my "non-furry" kids!
